  I used to always wear White Shoulders, it's one of my favorites.

  Muguet de Bois was another and I've recently had a sample of Tova Night and it's really nice too.
  I can't take real strong perfumes, makes me nauseous. I love nice, clean smells. Vanilla is wonderful. Remember Granny from the Beverly Hillbillies always rubbed vanilla or lemon verbena behind her ears, LOL.

  Oh, and they say the most sexual scent to stimulate a man's interest is cinnamon. So girls, don't forget to make up a batch of cinnamon rolls when you're trying to impress the new guy at work!

  My Crazy Mother!

  here i thought i was going to get through the memorial season in peace this year.. how wrong i was!.

  was this supposed to be a memorial invitation?.

  yesterday i got an unexpected phone call from my mom.. i said hi and asked her how she was.. she said not very good.. i told her i was sorry to hear that and that i was concerned about her health problems and asked if she had had any tests done or gotten results.. she said no thats not why she wasnt doing well.. i could tell from the tone of her voice that this wasnt going to be pretty.. she told me that the reason she wasnt doing well is because the memorial was coming up,.

  How many of us are where we are today (having grown up in a cult) because of our "crazy mothers"?
  You were too kind and patient with her, but she is your mom. (((((((((((((Ranchette)))))))))))))))))))
  My mom started asking me if I wanted to go to the memorial with her. I dodged it by saying I wasn't thinking about it this year, being newly da'd and all, maybe next year. She got a very sad look on her face, but then she switched the conversation over to her other love, QVC, the home shopping channel.

  More than ever I see her as a crazy woman struggling to have some meaning in life. Thank God I left the jw's when I did or that might have been me someday.

  cow urine pushed as health cure in india.

  hindu nationalists in india have launched a marketing exercise to promote cow's urine as a health cure.. they say the urine, being sold for 30p a bottle, can be used for ailments ranging from liver disease to obesity and even cancer.. .... as i see this as an opportunity for shameless self promotion... i would like to point out the bumper sticker on my car: "religion stops a thinking mind" (a spoof on the abortion bumper sticker).

  Don't they include cow's urine in some beauty products? I mean, there are some pretty gross ingredients in some of those "skin creams" and even makeup, sick. But, then again, if it works, who cares?

  Happened at my old hall (when I was a teen), many times and made us walk out one time. The sister was given some counsel about it as it made many people uncomfortable to hear her beating her 1 year old like that. They needed to get her tubes tied. Last I heard, she had several other children as well. Poor things.

  The worst part is none of the adults doing anything about it.

  Sharing My Joy

  i've not posted here for a long time, nor have i kept up even with browsing around, but i had a sudden urge to share my joy with the only group of people who might possibly understand how much this means to me.. i left the jws about 15 years ago, of course losing basically everyone i was close to in the process.

  over the years, i've never forgotten my old friends.

  sometimes i dream about them, and when i wake up i feel bad for hours, missing them and knowing that they are as good as dead to me.. i visited my family in october 2001 and my brother told me he had run into one of my old friends in a bar.

  I too have a close friend by my side again and we're going out Thursday night (the memorial) to celebrate our new freedom together.
